The Open-Air Museum of Lithuania is located near Kaunas. It is one of the largest (195 ha) and having the most exhibits (91,420) among ethnographic open-air museums in Europe. The museum reflects the mode of life, work and traditions of peasants and townspeople of all Lithuanian ethnographic areas from the end of the 18th century till the first half of the 20th century.
